Our Story

Dr. Mark Matthews and Dr. Andrew Hall worked as medical doctors in New Zealand. While practicing, they identified a need for comprehensive software enabling patient-focused care.

Mark and Andrew set the goal of creating a software product that would be flexible and powerful enough to handle the diverse range of care delivery outside of a hospital, which would work across multiple medical practice types and jurisdictions.

1997

The first version of Profile EMR was released to customers in New Zealand, and the product was adopted by a wide array of clients, including the New Zealand Defence Force and Auckland Regional Mental Health (a collection of multiple District Health Boards focused on providing mental health services).

1999

Given the growth seen in New Zealand, the company embarked on an ambitious expansion into the Australian market. The product was soon widely adopted, including by The Western Australian Department of Corrections.

2001

Profile EMR expanded into the Canadian market and quickly became a significant player in the GP and Specialist markets in the country.

Over the years, the company has grown to serve more than 15,000 physicians worldwide, with over 1,000,000 patients interacting with the software annually.

2006

To serve further expansion plans, the company was acquired by WELL Health Technologies. Being part of the WELL Health family opens many doors for Intrahealth and sets the company up for even greater achievements going forward. Both companies aim to positively impact health outcomes by leveraging technology to empower and support care delivery.

ISO 13485:2016

Intrahealth is ISO13485 certified. This International Standards Organisation (ISO) is specifically for medical devices and is based on the broader ISO9001 standards but to a higher threshold of conformance. Intrahealth is proud to be among the first EMRs to have achieved compliance with this standard, serving as a commitment to our customers for maintaining and improving the quality of our products and services.

Canada Health Infoway EMR and aEMR Certifications

Intrahealth Canada Limited has achieved Canada Health Infoway National Class Electronic Medical Record and National Class Ambulatory Electronic Medical Record pre-implementation certification. Profile-HCC is the first product in Canada to be Ambulatory EMR certified, and the only product to achieve dual National Class certification.

Backed by more than 20 years of experience in software development, tech leadership, project management, and service delivery, Dorian is currently leading the Intrahealth organization. He has a degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and multiple additional certifications.

Craig Longstaff

Vice President, Sales and Growth

With over 20 years of professional experience, Craig is leading service delivery and customer operations in Australia and New Zealand, as well as international sales and growth. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Management and multiple additional diplomas.

Dr. Andrew Hall

Vice President, Solution Architecture

Andrew has over 30 years of experience in health informatics, healthcare, and collaborative roadmap planning. He is responsible for solution architecture at Intrahealth. He holds a BHB MB ChB with a specialization in radiology from the School of Medicine, University of Auckland.

Alexey Egorov

Director, Software Engineering

Alexey brings over two decades of experience in automation control and software engineering. He is responsible for software development at Intrahealth. He holds a Master’s degree in automation control systems from Belarus State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.

Solution Architect

Andrew is backed by 15 years of experience in customer service, training, business analysis, product management, and solution design. He is trained in software development and is responsible for the solution architecture at Intrahealth.

Zuber Jiwa

Director, Customer Operations, Canada

Zuber brings with him nearly two decades of experience in customer service and operations, leading teams of customer-oriented professionals. Zuber’s education spans courses in business and health informatics. He is responsible for all customer operations activities across the organization.

Sumona Tailor

Director, Product Management

With a solid decade of experience in product management, Sumona specializes in overseeing enterprise-level SaaS solutions within the Healthtech sector. Her proven track record reflects ongoing achievements in formulating product strategy, ensuring optimal user experience and adoption, and fostering business growth. Her dedication to providing value and achieving success underscores a strategic and customer-centric approach that aligns seamlessly with the distinct challenges and opportunities within Healthtech.

Torrie Moore

Manager, Service Delivery, Canada

Torrie has over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry focusing on finance, aged care, and healthcare industries.  Starting as a developer/analyst he has worked in technical, business analysis and project management roles both directly within organizations and as a vendor. He currently leads the team delivering solutions to customers in Australia and New Zealand.

James Penfold

Solution Architect

James brings over 30 years of experience to Intrahealth. He is part of the global Solutions Architect team and works closely with enterprise customers in Australia and New Zealand. James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and computer science and a Diploma of Business in Personnel Management and Employee Relations from the University of Auckland.

Nick brings over 20 years of expertise in Professional Services and IT Service Management, with a strong focus on implementing solutions across the public sector, particularly in healthcare.
