WELL AI Voice can be used on desktop and laptop computers. The software is not currently supported on tablets or smartphones.
Yes, WELL AI Voice requires your desktop or laptop to have access to a microphone. However, it doesn’t need to be a special device — the microphone you would use for a normal video conference will suffice.
Ambient Scribe is a new feature that will generate a structured SOAP note from either a spoken summary of the visit, or from listening to the conversation with the patient.
You can easily install WELL AI Voice in less than 5 minutes with a click of a button. There is no training required – it is very intuitive and simple to use. Once you have installed the software to your computer, the Ambient Scribe, Medical Dictation, Medical Search (and EHR Assistant on OSCAR Pro) features will be available immediately.

Yes! Our Medical Dictation feature works in French as well. To turn on the French version, just log in as you normally would, open the sidebar and you’ll see an option to select ‘French’. Once that is selected, the Medical Scribe will recognize spoken French and transcribe appropriately.

Yes, you will need to set up a separate account. We are working with several EHR providers in Canadian primary care to make the authentication process easier through a Single Sign-On (SSO) mechanism.
Yes, as long as your headset’s microphone is connected to your computer, you can use our voice functionalities. There is no need for a special device, the microphone you might use for a normal video conference will suffice.
Absolutely! WELL AI Voice will recognize common punctuation (commas, periods, parentheses, and so on), commands like ‘new line’ or ‘new paragraph’. Just try it out!

Accuracy
The language model used was initially developed in response to an RFP from the Public Health Agency of Canada. Six months of research was conducted on state-ofthe-art NLP algorithms to understand if the current algorithms could provide a solution with medical-grade accuracy. A pilot was run in Edmonton in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020. The feedback gathered from physicians encouraged the continued improvement of the language model and making it more efficient. Since then, more than 20,000 records have been gathered, in a variety of accents, to fine-tune the algorithm. WELL AI Voice is one of the highest-performing voice solutions for physicians.
A team of annotators record proprietary notes and question-answers. The algorithm is fine-tuned after every new recording created from the physicians. This is done securely and with privacy in mind.

WELL AI Voice’s core features (Ambient Scribe, Medical Dictation and Medical Search) can be used on any web-based or desktop EHR. The EHR Assistant is compatible with Profile today, and work is ongoing to integrate with other EHRs. WELL AI Voice is a layer on top of your EHR. You can dictate your notes directly into your EHR or find medical or drug information right inside your EHR. Our integration might be a little deeper with some, like OSCAR Pro, but the core functionalities (Ambient Scribe, Medical Dictation and Medical Search) are supported on all EHRs whether web-based or on your desktop.

Pricing
All features are accessible in the free plan, but are limited in the volume of usage. You can start as a free user to try out WELL AI Voice you will be prompted to upgrade as your usage increases. You can learn about our different pricing tiers here.
You can use WELL AI Voice in every clinic you work in, as well as at home. You’ll just need to install the software and log in on each computer that you work on.
Usage is calculated based on the length of the audio recordings you make while using WELL AI Voice’s Medical Dictation, or from the number of times you use Ambient Scribe. You also have access to reports on your level of usage and estimated time saved within the app; if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at sales@apps.health.
Each physician can arrange their own license or the clinic can contact us directly to procure multiple licenses or make arrangements for training and onboarding. We want to ensure your clinic is successful. Contact us at support@wellhealth.ai to learn more.
You will be asked to provide your credit card details when you sign up for a paid plan. Your credit card will be billed at the agreed frequency once you’ve signed up. You can cancel at any time, and once you cancel, you’ll be able to use the software until the end of your agreed term.

Security
We currently store the medical questions physicians ask and the audio files they transcribe. However, we don’t link these records to any patient’s PII. We also gather high-level analytics about your engagement with WELL AI Voice (the number of times you use each feature per day, how long it takes you to transcribe a note, how many times you edit the note, etc). These analytics don’t include any PHI or PII and are only used to optimize the product. Please see our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for further details, and do contact us should you have further questions.
Depending on your organization’s policies, you might have to consult your IT department. We have made that process easy by having our Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and the privacy and security documents ready for review. WELL AI Voice is a lightweight piece of technology and the review process doesn’t generally take long.
